STORY
Consider the story of little 2 ½ year old Vivian Wilson, who suffers from a severe form of epilepsy known as Dravet Syndrome. Sanjay Gupta told the family that high CBD cannabis would be the best treatment option for Vivian. Although she became the youngest Medical Cannabis patient in New Jersey, Vivian couldn’t get the cannabis oil she needed or have it tested. The family urged the states Governor Chris Christie to amend the laws to allow for an edible form of the plant so that little Vivian could get the proper dosage, but he declined, calling it a ‘slippery slope.’
This forced the Wilsons to move to Colorado, where the state laws allow for edible cannabis. That’s when Cheers to Goodness came in. We provided assistance to help the Wilsons make the move to Colorado and get Vivi the treatment she needs. Vivian is doing great, but she misses her grandparents who were left behind in New Jersey.
